The evening session being a farewell meeting was a panoptic service with Choir renditions from all the zones that make up the Eket Field, a parting soul-rending sermon etc. Beginning “GOD FIRST” with a brief opening prayer and the singing of the Congregational Hymn no. 43 EHB. New posts were assigned and transfers were given to different pastors and prophets.
Former Assistant Pastor Ubong S. Inwang of Great Cobb Road District, officially becomes a Full Pastor. On the Area basis, Apostle (Dr.)Emem E. Thompson, Area Superintendent of the Field Temple Area was transferred to Ukwa Area, while Apostle Ron U. Okposin , Area Superintendent of Nung Obong gets transferred to Field Temple Area. These former Evangelists have been assigned to become Assistant Pastors: Asst. Pastor Edward B. Thompson ,Asst. Pastor Nsikak S. Etokobot Asst. Pastor Joshua S. David Others: Pastor Ita Maxwell, now Council Prophet ,Pastor Kufre Philip, now Area Prophet . Transfers aside, following the harmonized order of service, these were the Officiating Ministers for the farewell meeting:
*Pastor Ubong S. Inwang led in the singing of Choruses.
*Pastor B. E. Okon (JP), led in worship.
Pastor I. O. Etukudoh, took the Bible reading from Luke 2:8-20.
*Pastor EkomAbasi Jackson was the Translator for the service.
*Song ministrations were received from the following Choirs:
All Zonal Choirs, Field Youth Choir, Field Temple Choir and Field Choir.
Having gotten to its finale, the 19th Eket Field Annual Convention with its theme tagged “DIVINE ENCOUNTER” was a success and was worth attending.
Those who had come expecting went home rejoicing.
